How Often Should You Get a Haircut?
A simple schedule for fades, tapers, low cuts and beards, so you know exactly when to book your next visit.

There is no single answer, because hair grows at different speeds and every style has its own point where it starts to look tired. Use this as a starting guide and adjust it to how quickly your hair grows.
A quick schedule by style
- Skin or bald fade: line-up every 10 to 14 days, full cut every 2 to 3 weeks.
- Low or mid taper: full cut every 3 to 4 weeks.
- Short natural cut or low crop: every 3 to 5 weeks.
- Longer styles on top: every 5 to 6 weeks, with the sides tidied in between.
- Beard: shape and trim every 3 to 4 weeks.
Signs it is time to book
The neckline is fuzzy, the hair over your ears has started to curl outward, or the fade no longer blends into the top. If you notice any of these, you are already a few days late.
Mixing full cuts and touch-ups
A line-up or touch-up is quicker and usually lighter on the wallet than a full cut, and it resets the edges. Alternating between the two keeps you looking sharp all month without losing length you want to keep.
Before a big day
For interviews, weddings and important meetings, book the cut two or three days ahead. The hair settles, any small razor redness clears, and the shape looks natural rather than freshly cut.
